It's very easy. The pee diapers go directly in a diaper pail or wet bag until wash day. The poopy ones, well you need to get rid of most of the poop by dropping it in the toilet or spraying it off with a diaper sprayer. If they are breastfed, you can just dump the whole thing in the wet bag... until they start solids or formula, then you need to do the extra step because it wont be soluble anymore.

What about in public?
We do the same as at home but carry around a small waterproof bag to put them in until we get home to dump in the pail.

Whats the good and bad about them?
I dont think there is any bad about cloth diapers. Its all positive stuff Smile They are environmentally friendly, cheaper than disposables and come in cute prints and colors... and no blowouts or rashes!!!!

^^well said. I'll just add, taht technically you're supposed to dump the poop even with disposables, though not many people do, so really it's not an extra step.

What about in public?
We just take a plastic bag along. They're less bulky than wetbags. I find changing in public super easy because we bring cloth wipes along, already prewetted in a ziplock. And we're not forced to find a garbage afer. We can litterally change him anywhere. On Canada day I changed william outside 3 mins before the fireworks starting. Bing bang done.

Whats the good and bad about them?
Good: cheaper, environmentally friendly, freaking adorable, less rashes and fewer leaks/blowouts. The laundry really isn't that big a deal. It's a 2 loads a week for me. Dump it in. Done.
Bad: take up more space in the diaper bag. Often have to buy a size up in pants when they are under a year, just due to the thickness. And then the legs are too long sometimes. But if you have a tall kid that's not a problem. lol. And as they grow it's less of a problem.

Yep, nobody I know does that and they should be! So frankly saying cloth is harder, is not a reason not to cloth diaper. Washing takes just a few mins out of your week and its just a 1-2-3 step thing just like any other laundry. Except for spraying the poop diapers but you get used to that and dont even notice how much you do it in the end.

People also don't seem to realize that if you're spending money on disposables you ARE working harder. You're working at your job to pay for those diapers, every week!!
